This is our current schedule. Contact details are only available to current members. (Members should log-on to the members area to see/or download the complete schedule).

Contact by email our club president or phone Alex at 604-467-7948 if you are not a current member and would like to attend a given hike. Prospective members are allowed to attend 2 activities prior to joining.

Note: Multi-day and certain Special Activities are ONLY open to paid current members.

Regular Events

     

Moderate Grade Hikes are held every Monday. Meet at 9:00 AM, UBC Research forest gate.

Moderate Grade Hikes are held every Wednesday. Meet at 9:00 AM, Maple Ridge Park (Fern Crescent Parking Lot)

Attention Club Members:

     

Participants are expected to come suitably equipped (proper clothing and footwear) and be self sufficient with adequate food and water.

It is the prerogative of the leader to turn back any club member who they feel is not adequately equipped or physically capable.

A - 0 to 3 hours

 

1 - 0 to 300 metres

a - OK slopes - trails that are mostly OK to walk

B - Longer than 3 up to 5 hours

 

2 - Higher than 300 up to 600 metres

b - moderate slopes - some rooty and rocky  trail sections

C - Longer than 5 up to 8 hours

 

3 - Higher than 600 up to 900 metres

c - steep - may take extra effort to negotiate rocky,
rooty or slippery trail sections

D - Longer than 8 hours

 

4 - Higher than 900 up to 1200 metres

d - very steep - may be rugged (unlike a trail) 
- may involve scrambling or off trail bushwhacking

 

 

5 - Higher than 1200 up to 1500 metres

 

 

 

6 - Higher than 1500 metres
